Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Welcome to Ingrid’s Pottery. These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of our website and to any purchases you make through it.
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. About us
This website is operated by Ingrid’s Pottery.
Business name: Ingrid’s Pottery
Website: ingridspottery.co.uk
Email: ingridspottery@gmail.com
If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions, please contact us using the email address above.
2. Our products
Ingrid’s Pottery creates handmade pottery, lino prints, photographs, cards and other creative products.
Because many of our products are handmade, each item may have small variations in colour, shape, texture, glaze, finish or pattern. These differences are part of the handmade nature of the products and are not considered faults.
Colours shown on your screen may also differ slightly from the actual product depending on your device and display settings.
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, measurements and prices are accurate. However, minor variations may occur, particularly with handmade items.
3. Product availability
All products are subject to availability.
As many of our products are handmade and produced in small quantities, individual items may sell out quickly.
If you place an order for an item that has unexpectedly become unavailable, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer a suitable solution, which may include a full refund.
4. Prices
All prices displayed on our website are in British pounds (£).
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. A price change will not affect an order that you have already placed and that we have accepted.
Delivery charges will be shown separately during the checkout process.
5. Placing an order
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.
After placing your order, you should receive an email confirming that we have received your order.
This confirmation does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted. Your order is accepted when we confirm that the products have been dispatched or otherwise confirm acceptance of the order.
We reserve the right to cancel an order in exceptional circumstances, including where an item is unavailable or where there has been an obvious pricing or website error.
If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, you will receive a full refund.
6. Payment
Payment is processed securely through our payment provider, Stripe.
We do not store your full payment card details.
Your order will normally only be processed once payment has been successfully received.
7. Delivery
We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on the relevant product or delivery information page.
Delivery times are estimates and may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our control, including postal delays, adverse weather, strikes or other disruptions.
You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address when placing your order.
If you provide an incorrect address and the parcel is returned to us, additional postage may be required before we resend the order.
Once an order has been dispatched, you will receive relevant delivery information where available.
8. Damaged or faulty items
We take care when packaging our products, particularly handmade ceramics and other fragile items.
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at ingridspottery@gmail.com.
Please provide:
Your order number
A description of the problem
Photographs of the damaged or faulty item
Photographs of the packaging, where relevant
We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer a replacement, repair or refund in accordance with your legal rights.
Please do not dispose of damaged packaging or products until we have had an opportunity to assess the issue, as photographs or the packaging may be required when dealing with a delivery claim.
9. Returns and cancellations
Your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms & Conditions.
For most online purchases, UK consumers have a legal right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without having to provide a reason. You then normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
If you wish to cancel an order under these rights, please contact us at ingridspottery@gmail.com.
Returned goods should be sent back in suitable condition and, where reasonably possible, in their original packaging.
Unless an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, you may normally be responsible for the direct cost of returning an unwanted item.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
Exceptions
The statutory cancellation right does not apply to certain types of goods, including products that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you.
If an item is specifically personalised or made to your individual requirements, we will make this clear before you place your order.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your legal rights in relation to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.
10. Refunds
Where you are entitled to a refund, we will process it as soon as reasonably possible and within the applicable legal timeframe.
If a product is returned because you have changed your mind, the product may need to be returned before the refund is processed.
We reserve the right to make appropriate deductions where permitted by law if returned goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
11. Handmade ceramics
Our pottery is handmade and should be treated with care.
Unless a product description states otherwise, please follow any care instructions supplied with your purchase.
Some handmade ceramics may have natural variations, including glaze variations, small surface irregularities and differences in shape or colour. These are characteristic of handmade pottery and are not necessarily defects.
Products intended for food or drink use will be described accordingly.
Please do not use a ceramic item for a purpose other than that stated in its product description or care instructions.
12. Intellectual property
All photographs, artwork, product designs, illustrations, text, logos, branding and other original content on this website belong to Ingrid’s Pottery or are used with permission.

We may occasionally update, change, suspend or remove parts of the website without notice.
We are not responsible for temporary website interruptions caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
15. Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites.
These links are provided for convenience and do not mean that we endorse or accept responsibility for the content, availability or privacy practices of those websites.
16. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under UK law.
This includes your statutory rights as a consumer.
To the extent permitted by law, Ingrid’s Pottery will not be responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been anticipated when the contract was formed or for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
17. Events outside our control
We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include, for example:
Natural disasters
Severe weather
Fire
Power failures
Strikes
Postal or courier disruption
Government restrictions
Internet or technical failures
Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate with you and minimise any resulting delay.
18. Privacy
We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Please see our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data.
19. Changes to these Terms & Conditions
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will be published on this page and will include the date it was last updated.
Any changes will not affect orders that you have already placed and that we have accepted.
20. Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions will be subject to the applicable courts of England and Wales, unless consumer protection law provides otherwise.
